Log into your Wordpress installation
Go to http://fbcyicn.ca/wp-admin and enter your username and password.
If you’ve forgotten your password, don’t panic! Just click on the “I forgot my password” link and follow the instructions.
Create a news post
Create an event post
Creating an event post is very similar to creating a news post, with two differences:
Link to an existing page/post
First, go to the page you want to link to and copy the URL.
Then edit the page/post you want the link to appear on:
Linking to a section of a page on the site
First, you need to create an anchor on the page you’re linking to.
Anchor names can only contain letters, numbers, dashes and underscores. No spaces or other characters can be used.
Then go to the page you want your link to appear on and create a link as usual, but append a forward slash, a number sign and the anchor name after the URL.
For example, if your URL is http://fbcyicn.ca/about and your anchor name is ‘phone’, your link URL would look like http://fbcycin.ca/about/#phone
Link to a PDF or other file
Once you’ve uploaded or selected a file from the media library:
Add an image to a page/post
Upload an image from your computer, or select one from the Media Library.
Add a new page
Edit the title and body of the page as desired.
If you do not want the page to show up in any menus, leave the “Parent” set to “Main Page”. Pages can only have one parent.
Galleries vs. Albums
On the site, we have three levels in our Photo Gallery
Collections of photos are called “galleries”. For example, the photos from a single SCM event would be in a gallery.
A collection of galleries is called an “album”. For example, all of the SCM galleries would be in an SCM album.
We also have a “master album” that holds all of our regular albums.
Upload photos to a gallery
Please make sure that your image file names do not contain apostrophes as that seems to cause the thumbnail generation to fail.
Wait for the upload to complete and the thumbnails to be generated before navigating away from the page.
Select a cover image for a gallery
Then select a gallery.
Save your changes and the gallery will have the new cover image that you’ve selected.
Add a gallery to an album
You can also drag albums into albums.
In order for an album of galleries to appear on the site’s photo gallery page, they must be included in the “photogallery” album.

Select which polls should appear in the sidebar
Add a new form
Once you have created the form you want, you need to add it to a page:
